When the Ink Begins to Flow
Not fully controlling the ink is a practice of trusting the present moment.
Ink has a memory of its own. On dó paper, a drop may pause, bloom, or lead the brush in a direction that was not planned.
Rather than resisting it, I learn to listen. The uncontrollable parts can make a work feel more true.
